Description
InterConnect develops solutions to link different connected devices and make them interoperable, i.e. enable them to work with each other, even when they don't have the same manufacturer or the same communication protocols. With these intelligent energy management solutions, users become key players in the energy transition. Indeed, by making their various devices accessible to flexibility applications, they reduce stress on the power grid. And all this with the guarantee of a high level of privacy protection!
The project involves 50 partners from 11 countries, and the solutions developed will be tested at 7 experimental European sites: in France, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.
As part of the European Horizon 2020 program, the InterConnect project aims to maximize the self-consumption of locally produced renewable energy and reduce the cost of electricity consumption. To do so, it relies on the implementation of interoperable digital solutions and innovative services, allowing the adjustment of electricity consumption according to the needs of the electrical network.

Objectives
- By controlling the consumption of electrical equipment during periods of local renewable energy production. This solar energy is produced in your community by the municipality or by individuals.
Help reduce the cost of electricity consumption:
- Using smart equipment to consume during the best periods of the dynamic tariff (different time-of-day rates).
