ISEN Méditerranée is a private higher education institution of public interest (EESPIG) under contract with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
ISEN Méditerranée is an engineering school located in the cities of Toulon and Marseille. Each year, the school trains 850 students in digital technologies, including embedded systems, mobile robotics, smart energy, connected objects (IoT), e-health, software development, business engineering, and cybersecurity.

Main mission
The instructor is responsible for designing, leading, and monitoring physics training modules for students at the first- through third-year college level. He or she helps students acquire the fundamental physics knowledge required for engineering studies and their technical applications.
Main activities:
- Design and teach courses in:
- Mechanics (kinematics, dynamics, Newton's laws)
- Electromagnetism
- Waves and vibrations
- Thermodynamics (basics)
- Physics Applied to Engineering
- Develop instructional materials (lectures, tutorials, exercises, lab sessions)
- Supervise tutorials and/or lab sessions
- Assessing students (quizzes, exams, homework)
- Helping students solve physics problems
- Help improve educational content
Qualifications
- A minimum of a five-year degree (engineering school or master’s degree) in:
- Physics
- Applied physics
- Mechanical Engineering / Energy / Engineering Sciences
- Desired work experience in:
- Higher education
- or the application of physics in industry and research
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in the fundamentals of mechanics and electromagnetism
- A solid foundation in thermodynamics and waves
- Ability to model physical phenomena
- Experience with simulation tools or scientific computing is a plus
- Understanding of physical applications in engineering
- Teaching skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms
- Scientific rigor

- Fluency in speaking
- Ability to make abstract concepts concrete
- Experience at an engineering school or training institution
- Proficiency in simulation tools (MATLAB, Python, etc.)
