Core business
After graduating from Polytech Marseille with an engineering degree in Microelectronics and Telecommunications, I chose to pursue my career in a field I'm particularly passionate about: radio frequency and the design of innovative communication systems.
I joined a doctoral thesis dedicated to the development of flexible, compliant antennas, integrated into new-generation communicating systems. This work is being carried out under the supervision of Mr. Thibaut Delleruyelle, and is part of two structuring projects: InovMicro 2 and FlexIP.
Prospective
Communication technologies have evolved rapidly, from the first radios to modern systems such as NFC, contactless payment and wearable devices.
The next step forward is based on ultra-thin, flexible RF structures, capable of being integrated on the skin or on deformable surfaces. These solutions pave the way for applications in monitoring, healthcare, sports and wearable interfaces, meeting the growing challenges of miniaturization and flexibility.
In this context, the development of high-performance, adaptive antennas on flexible substrates is a key challenge for the embedded systems of tomorrow.
360°
My thesis aims to design flexible antennas capable of maintaining good performance despite the mechanical constraints of flexible substrates. The project is organized around several stages:
- Initial characterization to analyze actual antenna behavior and target optimizations.
- Modeling and parametric studies with ADS and HFSS, to optimize performance and electromagnetic matching.
- Prototyping and laboratory measurements on flexible materials to experimentally validate the designs developed.
The device will also incorporate a form of intelligent analysis of data from the associated sensors, with an architecture that can be adapted to suit application needs. The information collected will then be transmitted to a third-party entity dedicated to its exploitation.
The aim of this work is to develop lighter, more adaptive RF solutions that can be directly integrated into the human environment.
