Core business

Florian Sananes teaches computer science, more precisely algorithmic through many programming languages, whether they are "close to the machine" and allow to reach high performances, or whether they are of a high level of abstraction and allow to increase the productivity of a developer by freeing him from the problems of hardware. Florian also works on research and development projects in partnership with industrialists, on projects related to the field of artificial intelligence.

Prospective

Implementing software solutions to solve a given problem can be very costly with a traditional approach: designing a solution tailored to a given problem can be long and arduous, and for certain classes of problem can lead to ineffective solutions that are too biased by the angle of approach chosen to solve them. This is one of the strengths of solutions based on artificial intelligence methods, which can not only produce excellent results and even outperform pre-existing solutions, but also allow a more distant approach to the problem by moving away from its specific features, thus enabling whole classes of algorithms to be used on extremely varied problems.

360°

The omnipresence and the improvement of the performances of the embedded systems containing their series of sensors as well as calculation units makes more and more viable the implementation of artificial intelligence solutions on these systems, as opposed to the traditional scheme of making the data go up on the cloud in order to carry out the treatments there. In addition to a reduction of the costs of renting servers, this architecture also induces a considerable reduction in the use of bandwidth of the produced solution, which is in line with the ecological approach dear to ISEN. The design and deployment of embedded artificial intelligence solutions are among the subjects that interest Florian.

About me

I finalized in 2014 a Master of Mathematics at the University of Aix-Marseille, after which I taught in secondary school for a short period. I then joined ISEN Yncréa Méditerranée as an engineering student, and finished my training in 2021. Within the framework of a professionalization contract in a company which is part of the school's curriculum, I was able to familiarize myself with artificial intelligence applied to natural language processing in an R&D project. I finally joined the teaching team of ISEN as a teacher-researcher in artificial intelligence in 2022.

Areas of expertise

My areas of expertise are mainly artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques such as clustering, hill-climbing and its evolutions, and deep learning; in particular the latter applied to image data processing. I am also very interested in code optimization - building a program to make the best use of the hardware on which it runs in order to speed up calculations.

Research and development activities

My research and development activities are mainly focused on projects with industrial partners or clients of ISEN in connection with the theme of artificial intelligence. The technologies used are varied and chosen according to the specific needs of the projects.

Teaching activities

Languages: C, Python, Java

Techniques: Clustering, deep learning, convolution
