ISEN Méditerranée is a private higher education institution of public interest (EESPIG) under contract with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
ISEN Méditerranée is an engineering school located in the cities of Toulon and Marseille. Each year, the school trains 850 students in digital technologies, including embedded systems, mobile robotics, smart energy, connected objects (IoT), e-health, software development, business engineering, and cybersecurity.

Main mission
The instructor is responsible for designing, leading, and monitoring training modules on computer networks and Linux systems for students at the associate’s and bachelor’s degree levels. He or she helps students develop skills in system administration, networking, and IT infrastructure.
Main activities:
- Design and teach courses in:
- Computer Networks (OSI/TCP-IP models, addressing, routing)
- Linux System Administration (Installation, Configuration, Management)
- Network services (DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSH, etc.)
- Basic System and Network Security
Mechanics (kinematics, dynamics, Newton's laws)
- Develop teaching materials (lectures, tutorials, lab sessions)
- Supervise hands-on lab work (configuring machines, servers, and networks)
- Assessing students (quizzes, exams, projects)
- Assist students in setting up system environments
- Help improve educational content
Qualifications
- A minimum of a five-year degree (engineering school or master’s degree) in:
- ICT
- Systems and Networks
- Systems Administration
- Desired work experience in:
- Systems and Network Administration
- or technical education/training
Technical skills:
- Proficiency with Linux environments (Debian, Ubuntu, etc.)
- Solid knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, NAT)
- System administration (users, permissions, services)
- Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMware, VirtualBox, and Docker are a plus)
- Basic knowledge of system cybersecurity (preferred)
- Teaching skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms
- Technical precision
- Fluency in speaking
- Autonomy and organization
- Ability to supervise complex hands-on exercises
- Experience at an engineering school or training institution
- Experience in a DevOps environment (Docker, CI/CD, cloud)
- Linux or networking certifications (LPIC, Cisco, etc.)
- Experience managing physical or virtual infrastructure
