ISEN Méditerranée is a private higher education institution of public interest (EESPIG) under contract with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
ISEN Méditerranée is an engineering school located in the cities of Toulon and Marseille. Each year, the school trains 850 students in digital technologies, including embedded systems, mobile robotics, smart energy, connected objects (IoT), e-health, software development, business engineering, and cybersecurity.

Main mission
The instructor is responsible for designing, leading, and monitoring artificial intelligence training modules for students at the bachelor’s and master’s levels. He or she helps students master the fundamentals and applications of AI, particularly in machine learning and data science.
Main activities:
- Design and teach courses in:
- Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence
- Machine Learning (supervised, unsupervised)
- Deep Learning (neural networks)
- Data processing and feature engineering
- Introduction to Deploying AI Models
- Develop teaching materials (lectures, tutorials, lab sessions)
- Oversee AI projects (classification, prediction, NLP, or computer vision, depending on skill level)
- Assessing students (quizzes, exams, projects)
- Support students in implementing AI solutions
- Help improve educational content
Qualifications
- A minimum of a five-year degree (engineering school or master’s degree) in:
- Artificial intelligence
- Data science
- Computer Science / Applied Mathematics
- Desired work experience in:
- Development of AI and data science solutions
- or AI education/training
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in machine learning (regression, classification, clustering)
- Knowledge of AI frameworks (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
- Strong proficiency in Python for data science
- Concepts in Applied Statistics and Probability
- Knowledge of deep learning (CNN, RNN, Transformers preferred)
- Basic knowledge of model deployment (API and MLOps experience is a plus)
- Teaching skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms
- Fluency in speaking
- Autonomy and organization
- Analytical mind and scientific rigor
- Ability to explain complex concepts in an accessible way
- Experience at an engineering school or training institution
- Participation in AI projects in production
- Understanding the ethical issues surrounding AI
- Experience in data engineering or cloud computing (preferred)
- Contributions to open-source projects or applied research
