ISEN Méditerranée is a private higher education institution of public interest (EESPIG) under contract with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
ISEN Méditerranée is an engineering school located in the cities of Toulon and Marseille. Each year, the school trains 850 students in digital technologies, including embedded systems, mobile robotics, smart energy, connected objects (IoT), e-health, software development, business engineering, and cybersecurity.

Main mission
The instructor is responsible for designing, teaching, and monitoring database training modules for students ranging from the first year of college through graduate school. He or she helps students develop skills in modeling, designing, and managing relational and NoSQL databases.
Main activities:
- Design and teach courses in:
- Database modeling (MCD, UML, relational schema)
- Relational databases (SQL)
- Database Administration and Optimization
- NoSQL databases (MongoDB or equivalent)
- Introduction to Data Management Systems
- Develop teaching materials (lectures, tutorials, lab sessions)
- Supervise practical assignments (SQL queries, modeling, projects)
- Assessing students (quizzes, exams, projects)
- Support students in designing data systems
- Help improve educational content
Qualifications
- A minimum of a five-year degree (engineering school or master’s degree) in:
- ICT
- Data / Databases
- Software Engineering
- Desired work experience in:
- Database development or administration
- or computer science education/training
Technical skills:
- Proficiency in SQL (queries, joins, optimization)
- Knowledge of data modeling (MCD, UML)
- Experience with database management systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or equivalent)
- Basic concepts of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
- Understanding the challenges related to data performance and integrity
- Basic knowledge of data architecture (preferred)
- Teaching skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas in simple terms
- Fluency in speaking
- Autonomy and organization
- Logical and structured rigor
- Ability to mentor student technical projects
- Experience at an engineering school or training institution
- Experience in data engineering or backend development
- Experience with Big Data or cloud environments (preferred)
- Experience with real-world data management projects
