Presentation of ISEN Méditerranée
ISEN Méditerranée is a private higher education institution of public interest (EESPIG) under contract with the Ministry of Higher Education and Research.
ISEN Méditerranée is an engineering school located in the cities of Toulon and Marseille. Each year, the school trains 850 students in digital technologies, including embedded systems, mobile robotics, smart energy, connected objects (IoT), e-health, software development, business engineering, and cybersecurity.
As part of a temporary replacement, we are seeking an academic advisor to oversee the Bachelor’s program in Computer Science, Video Games, and Virtual Reality and to teach in the program. This Bachelor’s program is located on the Marseille campus.
Job duties
- Design and teach courses and practical exercises throughout the three-year Bachelor's program in Digital Systems for Multimedia, particularly in programming and development.
- Teach courses such as C, C++, Python, and C#, as well as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Supervise student projects throughout the entire program.
Educational Support:
- Monitor students throughout their program (assessments, exams, academic organization).
Coordinate and oversee work placements (internships, work-study programs) and study abroad experiences throughout the Bachelor’s program, in collaboration with partner companies and the International Office. - Serve as a liaison between the school’s teachers and part-time instructors (participating in the recruitment process, creating class schedules).
- Propose, monitor, supervise, and evaluate students’ semester-long academic projects (virtual reality, video games, 3D, augmented reality, serious games, etc.)
- Supervise students' final projects (provide guidance on writing reports and preparing for the defense).
- To take the initiative in developing educational content and the curriculum for the bachelor's degree program in line with the requirements of the Cti and the DGSIP, as well as the expectations of companies in the relevant sectors.
- Serve as a point of contact for partners on VR, XR, and video game topics.
- Contribute to student life, particularly on the Marseille campus.
Additional responsibilities:
- Provide occasional support for the engineering program (FISA / FISE).
- Participate in school events (open houses, fairs, juries, etc.).
- Actively participate in promoting the bachelor's degree program through events that highlight the program.
- Contribute to research and development projects as opportunities arise.
Profile
With a minimum of a five-year degree in computer science, we are looking for the following skills in our future colleague:
- Proficiency in software development processes (V-model, agile methods).
- Proficiency in programming languages (C/C++, Java, Python).
- Skills in web development and 3D tools (Unity, Unreal Engine).
- Expertise in the development and integration of digital solutions for multimedia applications such as serious games, video games, and immersive experiences.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence is a plus.
- Ability to design and lead courses and practical work.
- Ability to mentor and guide students on academic and professional projects.

Salary: between 37,000 and 40,000 euros gross per year
