Basic signal processing, spectral analysis, Fourier.
Understand the concepts of modulation / demodulation
Understand the quality criteria of a modulation
Understand the limitations of the main elements of a modulation/demodulation chain
See the representations and coding of signals
Presentation of the concepts of detector or error correction code
The objective of this course is to see the main concepts of analog and digital modulations.
The main transceiver architectures are also exposed.
The key blocks (PLL, VCO) are described. The lessons end with the representation and coding of signals as well as error detection and correction codes.
Analog modulation (Amplitude, frequency, phase)
Digital modulation (Amplitude, frequency, phase, IQ)
Key components (inductance, capacitance, resistance, VCO, PLL)
Signal integrity (eye diagram)
Signal representation and coding (NRZ, Miller, Manchester,..)
Code detector and error correction (CRC, Hamming,...)
Proctored homework / Evaluation by tests / Practical work.
